Light for the World is proud to be a part of the Inclusive Futures initiative, funded by UK aid and USAID. The initiative brings together 23 disability and development organisations who work to ensure equal opportunities for everyone and a global future that’s disability inclusive.

We are part of this initiative because:

  1. Inclusion is a human right
  2. People with disabilities have so much untapped potential
  3. Partnership is in our DNA

With our partners, Light for the World ensures inclusive vocational training and employment in Bangladesh. We link micro-entrepreneurs with disabilities to businesses in Kenya. In Nepal, we create decent work opportunities, including in the coffee value chain.

The Inclusive Futures initiative is a first of its kind. It brings together development organisations, people with disabilities and their organisations, and public and private sectors. It is an ambitious and truly collaborative partnership which demonstrates that we can make inclusive development a reality.
