Inclusion of Blind Youth in Vocational Training
Light for the World through the EmployAble programme worked with technical and vocational education and training (TVET) centres and employers in Rwanda, Kenya and Ethiopia to improve the inclusion of youth with disabilities in the trainings and ensuing employment. Despite the success attained in the first three years of the program, youth with certain impairments were still left behind. One of these groups was completely blind youth. This learning brief reports on the outcomes of a Disability Inclusion Lab process conducted in Ethiopia to explore solutions to the inclusion of Blind Youth in Vocational Training.
