As part of the DID programme, LFTW worked with NFDN and Cordaid in Nepal from 2019-2023 to explore how the coffee value chain could be made more inclusive. Under the “Inclusive HAMRO Coffee Project” the partners supported farmers with disabilities to grow coffee as a livelihood opportunity, while young people with disabilities were trained as baristas. Several learning documents were produced during the project. Two process documents were published, intended to influence other value chain projects. This initial process document captures lessons learned during the project set up, redesign and during COVID-19. A second process document was prepared to capture lessons learned following the full implementation of the project.
