For the past five years, Light for the World has researched the intersectionality between gender and disabilities in our focus areas to uncover the roots of exclusion of women and girls with disabilities. This publication consolidates the learning from these analyses. While, it does not replace the initial reports, this publication is structured around thematic areas: Inclusive Education, Eye Health, Humanitarian Action, Economic Empowerment, and Disability Inclusion in Community Development. The document summarises and briefly describes identified issues as well as recommended solutions from various programmes and countries.
