This policy describes Light for the World’s intersectional approach that integrates gender and disability perspectives in complementary and inclusive ways. The purpose of this intersectional approach is to highlight the interaction of gender and disability inequalities producing an effect which is different from what each of those dimensions (either gender or disability) would produce separately.
